Development of Environmental and Social Management Framework, Resettlement Policy Framework for Kenya Electricity Modernization Project (KEMP)

Actual Description of Services:

The proposed project development objectives (PDOs) are: (a) to increase access to electricity; (b) to improve reliability of electricity service; and (c) to restore KPLC’s financial sustainability and includes construction of mini grids, off grids, wind power plants and transmission lines and diesel plants in the rural Kenya.

EMC Consultants was commissioned to undertake Environment and Social Management Framework (ESMF), Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF) and Indigenous Peoples Policy Framework (IPPF) for the Kenya Electricity Modernization Program (KEMP) in accordance with Bank policies.
